Your Skin
The skin is the body's largest organ and accounts for about 15% of total body weight. Designed to give sensation, protection and heat regulation, it's also subjected to some pretty harsh treatment by most people, and is very susceptible to ageing.

Skin ageing is caused by a number of factors; skin type, colour, excessive dieting or exercise, smoking and sun damage. The latter in particular is responsible for a lot of preventable damage. You can see this, just by comparing the skin on parts of the body that have been exposed to the sun to those that haven't. It's now understood that a tan is actually a sign of UV injury to the skin.

One exciting new concept in skin care is that of 'skin fitness'. Put simply, this means that like your body, your skin must be exercised in order to function and look its best. It should actually be stimulated, so that it can regenerate itself faster and appear more toned.

Good cleansing moisturising and UV protection is beneficial in improving skin health.
Remember-your skin is vitally important to both your health and your self-image. Taking care of it will ensure you both look and feel your best, whatever your age.
