Out of courtesy to everyone we try to see all our patients on time.
We are providing a medical opinion on nasal change and particularly the procedure of rhinoplasty we do charge a professional fee.
In all rhinoplasty consultations we recommend computer imaging …so you can see the siginificance of the change.
In some instances we feel that it is not in a patient’s best interest to undergo rhinoplasty. We then respectfully decline to offer surgery. We realise this might be disappointing but ask you to understand and respect this medical opinion.
We greatly value our relationship with you. We consider it a privilege to ask patients with whom we have developed a strong doctor-patient relationship to recommend us to their friends and others who may benefit from our plastic and nasal surgery.
It is my strong belief that the result from Rhinoplasty depends on the pre operative nasal assessment. To create controlled change it is absolutely essential to have a detailed plan that is followed during the surgery.
Traditional rhinoplasty techniques are appropriate in 23% of nasal cases That in truth means that the other 77% are in danger of a less than satisfactory result.
A surgical plan is essential and follows careful nasal assessment Ultimately the plan describes the ideal nasal dimensions based on facial proportions. It also identifies any matters of concern.
A good analysis not only determines the ideal nasal tip projection, but also identifies problem noses that are at risk for a poor result.
Examples include noses that have :
- Low radix/Low bridge
- Narrow (weak) middle vault
-
Inadequate tip projection
- Alar cartilage malposition
