Breast enlargement with form Stable implants
When considering breast enlargement, You Need To Know: About the “Gummy Bear” Form Stable Breast Implants
Cohesive gel breast implants or as they are more commonly known, “gummy bear” breast implants may be preferred in many situations.
Due to the stability of the gel “The shape is better and more predictable, and seems to be longer lasting, but these claims remain to be proved.” Form Stable implants have achieved acclamation in Europe and are now available in Australia.
As mentioned, these cohesive Form Stable gel breast implants seem to hold their shape for a much longer time than the other implants do. Form Stable implants are composed of “exactly the same ingredients as all cohesive gel implants. The point of difference is that form stable implants have more interconnecting bridges between the molecules, so these silicone molecules bond to each other more and creates a more form-stable shape.”
The durability of Form Stable cohesive gel breast implants looks promising. The folds and rippling associated with saline and silicone implants is less likely to occur with this form stable implant. A fold if it occurs is a weak spots on any implant shell, making the traditional implants more susceptible to rupture. Rupturing over time is projected to be less with Form Stable implants.
Even if these cohesive gel implants do rupture, the silicone will not leak out and therefore are considered safer than historical implants
One downside to the Form Stable implant is as a result of the implants ability to hold its shape a slightly longer incision for insertion is required, but the breast implants can be inserted through incisions in the armpit, underneath the breasts or through the areola.
Inserting the Form Stable breast implant through the crease under the breast is the most popular method.
Anatomical or teardrop-shaped implants in order to prevent rotation, must be placed in exactly the right position and leave less room for error. The pocket that precisely fits the implant must be developed.” “The surgeon inserting thew implant must ensure that the pocket is made to precisely to fit the implant.”
Whilst traditional procedures require a certain skill there is no doubt that Form Stable implants demand a more technical and structured plan. Extensive planning takes into account the natural tissues surrounding the implant inclusive of chest and breast asymmetry.
The important measurements are the natural breadth height and your desired projection of your breast.
Taking into account your breast shape and patients desire a Form Stable implant with an ideal projection to achieve this overall shape and projection is calculated from range (Matrix) of breast implants.
At surgery an exact mathematical calculation of the implant position and any skin adjustment is planned in a meticulous sequence according to AK method.
In summary “fForm Stable implants permit a greater matching of patient expectations and enhanced results. Importantly the process of selection and insertion is more demanding than traditional techniques, specific training in this advanced procedure is recommended.
My personal view is that “Form Stable implants will have significant benefit for patients considering breast enlargement. Whilst many patients have received and will continue to achieve great results consistent with our long term planned approach ,there is a group of patients with minimal breast tissue or chest and breast asymmetry that can now have superior results by these planned techniques and a Matrix of implants.”
