Cosmetic surgery … Education is important!
8 out of 10 cosmetic plastic surgery patients are satisfied with their surgical experience
Before surgery, 91 % of cosmetic plastic surgery patients said they knew what to expect
40 % believe they should have been more proactive in learning about potential side effects and complications before surgery.
According to American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) survey released conducted by Harris Interactive(R)
The survey was supported by a grant from Merck & Co., Inc. Methodology
“The study suggests patients are not as aware as they should be when it comes to significant nature of surgical procedures,” said Peter Dixon “Patients need to take a proactive role in their surgical experience.
At the Jewel clinic the preoperative reports provided by the clinic define the essential knowledge. These reports offer a source of information in the post operative periods”.
“In our experience our most informed patients are our most satisfied patients.”
This education is most important when it comes to decisions in Rhinoplasty and Breast implant surgery.
